If you love fantasy， enemies to lovers， dark themes， and feeling like your heart is being pulled in several directions when you read a book—this is the series for you。 Can’t recommend it enough。 This is how you do true enemies to lovers。 Not the BS of being enemies for 100 pages and then BAMO—suddenly in love。 Authors should take notes from Melissa before marketing their books as such。 I’ve read a lot of books in this genre。 This series， and especially this book， have quickly become my absolute If you love fantasy， enemies to lovers， dark themes， and feeling like your heart is being pulled in several directions when you read a book—this is the series for you。 Can’t recommend it enough。 This is how you do true enemies to lovers。 Not the BS of being enemies for 100 pages and then BAMO—suddenly in love。 Authors should take notes from Melissa before marketing their books as such。 I’ve read a lot of books in this genre。 This series， and especially this book， have quickly become my absolute favorite。 It’s the first time in a long time an author has made me care about their characters this much。 They are all truly flawed， realistic， and original， which is rare in many of the books coming out these days。 I adore Tessa。 I literally love everything about her。 Even when her decisions drive me mad I understand why she chose them。 My heart broke for her several times in the previous book and that theme continued in this one。 I also really appreciate how realistic her character development has been with her upbringing and all of the trauma she has endured so far。 I wanted to toss my kindle across the room several times when Tessa made choices I didn’t agree with， but THAT ENDING？！ My feelings are vindicated and I absolutely cannot wait for the chaos she will get up to in book 3。 Theon…I have too many feelings on him to articulate， but here I go in short form。 If you’re looking for a book where the villain is the love interest look no further。 Morally grey is more morally black in this man， and I happen to love it。 He’s so broken and trying his best to protect those around him， though he continually goes about it in all the wrong ways。 I still root for him despite not wanting to which a testament to how great Melissa’s writing is。 Luka is also an incredibly complicated and intriguing character。 He’s been one of my favorites since book 1， and I’m happy he played a larger role in this one。 I love how he cares for Tessa in a different way than Theon， and how she’s come to rely on them both。 I’m soooo excited to see how his and Tessa’s relationship develops further going forward。So-Future me， I know you read a lot of books， but this series is truly special。 Remember that while you wait for book 3。 You rated both books in this series 5 stars for a reason。 。。。more

Oh。 My… The whirlwind of emotions that will assault you when you read this for Tessa and the delicious cast of characters is REAL。 And I’m here for it。 This story is legit， all the way。 The journey is very entertaining and at times heavy。 The author is very talented at including real life mental health complexities in her writing that may not be for everyone， so please read the trigger warnings。

Wow I didn't think it could top book 1 but it did！It was nice to be able to get inside axels head and a different perspective of his relationship with Kat！ I can't wait to find out more about her！ The last 10% will have you on the edge of your seat！ Melissa is such a great writer！ I honestly didn't see the twist coming at the end！ My heart is all over the place when it comes to Tessa love interest。 I don't know if I want her to be single， with theon， or with them both 😅 so many secrets and so ma Wow I didn't think it could top book 1 but it did！It was nice to be able to get inside axels head and a different perspective of his relationship with Kat！ I can't wait to find out more about her！ The last 10% will have you on the edge of your seat！ Melissa is such a great writer！ I honestly didn't see the twist coming at the end！ My heart is all over the place when it comes to Tessa love interest。 I don't know if I want her to be single， with theon， or with them both 😅 so many secrets and so many things revealed but soooo much more to go！ That ending was just insane and I have absolutely no idea where these books are going to go！ I'm going to try to patiently wait for the next book。 。。。more

SOSAS is the sequel in Melissa's newest series， The Legacy series。 This book is a phenomenal sequel and it HIT！ MKR's character development is unmatched and I was so excited to see the characters grow into the paths that have been set out for them。 I didn't see the twists and turns nor THAT ENDING！ One thing that I really appreciate with this series is the MMC/FMC both are morally grey。 It gives them an added layer of depth that I think is missing in most fantasy novels。 My one plea to MRK， plea SOSAS is the sequel in Melissa's newest series， The Legacy series。 This book is a phenomenal sequel and it HIT！ MKR's character development is unmatched and I was so excited to see the characters grow into the paths that have been set out for them。 I didn't see the twists and turns nor THAT ENDING！ One thing that I really appreciate with this series is the MMC/FMC both are morally grey。 It gives them an added layer of depth that I think is missing in most fantasy novels。 My one plea to MRK， please please PLEASE give us the scene that we are all DYING for in the next book。 。。。more

I am UNWELL after finishing this book！ I was obsessed with the Lady of Darkness series and now this series has just blown me away。 It isn't crucial to have read Lady of Darkness before this series but I guarantee it makes for a better experience 😁My emotions were such a roller-coaster for the whole of this book。 It's been such a long time since I've been so invested in a story that my heart was actually racing and sometimes I realised I was holding my breath。 Melissa makes you love her secondary I am UNWELL after finishing this book！ I was obsessed with the Lady of Darkness series and now this series has just blown me away。 It isn't crucial to have read Lady of Darkness before this series but I guarantee it makes for a better experience 😁My emotions were such a roller-coaster for the whole of this book。 It's been such a long time since I've been so invested in a story that my heart was actually racing and sometimes I realised I was holding my breath。 Melissa makes you love her secondary characters just as much （if not more sometimes） than the MCs and in SoSaS this was definitely the case。 I know I'm going to still be reeling from this book for weeks and desperately waiting for the announcement of a release date for book 3。 Ma'am how can you leave us on such a huge cliffhanger！I received an ARC and this is my honest review。 。。。more

When I say Melissa K。 Roehrich is my favorite author， I mean that。 This book is absolutely everything I love about reading。 From the very first word， you’re transported to another world with her amazing writing。 You get a fun recap by characters from the amazing Lady of Darkness series （if you haven’t already read that series， PLEASE DO！ It’s amazing; I love it so much！） and are then submerged back into Devram with all of its politics on powers and the story about a woman that was never meant to When I say Melissa K。 Roehrich is my favorite author， I mean that。 This book is absolutely everything I love about reading。 From the very first word， you’re transported to another world with her amazing writing。 You get a fun recap by characters from the amazing Lady of Darkness series （if you haven’t already read that series， PLEASE DO！ It’s amazing; I love it so much！） and are then submerged back into Devram with all of its politics on powers and the story about a woman that was never meant to be in that world。I don’t want to give spoilers， but I will say I laughed， I cried， I screamed， and I almost threw my phone across the room。 It made me feel everything， and I loved every second of my time in Devram and can’t wait to go back！ This book is everything I love about fantasy and being able to escape into another universe while truly feeling like you’re a part of it。 My husband interrupted me a few times while reading （how dare he？）， and when I would look up from my book， it was a genuine shock that I wasn’t with Tessa， Theon， Luka， or Axel。 Without giving too much away， I will say there is a budding new romance that will have you rooting for their love so HARD！ It will have you kicking your feet and just loving how everything progresses。Watching Tessa grow into her power and trying to figure out where her powers come from and where she fits into the world of Devram is such a fun journey。 If you love strong female leads that can always put our MMC in his place， you have found the right series to read！ Also getting to see how Theon’s plotting and plans to stop his father from taking over Devram play out is definitely a wild ride！ His younger brother Axel is my angel baby， and I would fight anyone for him。 The book picks up right where Rain of Shadows and Ending leaves off， so we know he’s absolutely going through it and learn about more of his demons （my poor baby， I just wish I could hold him）。 We also spend more time with our beloved dragon daddy Luka and see more of his relationship with Tessa as he continues to train her to fight and protect herself against all those in Devram that either covet her power or fear it。 The book is called Storm of SECRETS and Sorrow， and let me tell you that there are MANY secrets we discover and I’m sure many more we don’t… And there most certainly is sorrow。 I’m not sure how Melissa does it over and over again， but she definitely delivered yet another 5-star read！ She’s 7/7 on 5-Star reads in my book！ 。。。more

MKR has done it again with this stunning sequel to Rain of Shadows and Endings。 The characters gain depth， secrets are revealed， the plot twists are so good， and the edition of Luka and Axels pov was *chefs kiss* The only complaint I have is having to wait for the next book to come out to see what happens。 This book was stunning。

Ahhh！ Why oh why the cliffhangers？ This book keeps you guessing at each turn。 Just when you think you know what’s going to happen there is the twist。 Keep the Luka scenes coming！ New favorite book boyfriend。 I couldn’t put this book down and love how things tie together with the little Easter eggs。 Now to wait until the next one comes out。

This is the second book in the Legacy Series by Melissa K。 Roehrich and the story just keeps getting better。 Every time I read a book by her， when I finish， I have the feeling of “this is her best book yet！”， and then she releases another one and it’s better than the previous one！ You never know what is going to happen next， which is such an amazing and refreshing thing when reading。 （I personally don't want to be able to predict things because that kind of ruins the story for me。）The amount of This is the second book in the Legacy Series by Melissa K。 Roehrich and the story just keeps getting better。 Every time I read a book by her， when I finish， I have the feeling of “this is her best book yet！”， and then she releases another one and it’s better than the previous one！ You never know what is going to happen next， which is such an amazing and refreshing thing when reading。 （I personally don't want to be able to predict things because that kind of ruins the story for me。）The amount of detail in the story building and characters given is phenomenal。 The author does such an amazing job of making you feel like you are sitting in the room watching the story as if it were a movie。 This book will make you feel things！！ I have read quite a few books/series， but none have made me so happy， so sad， or so angry （at specific characters） like this one has。 I couldn’t stop thinking about it when I had to do other things than reading， and couldn’t wait to get back to reading it！ 。。。more

Storm of Secrets and Sorrow is book 2 in the Legacy series。 It is set in the same universe （but different realm） as Melissa’s Lady of Darkness series。 You can read the Legacy series on its own， but I would highly recommend reading LoD first due to some of the character cross overs （which I loved）！I love how we start to learn a bit more about the background and heritage of the FMC Tessa。 It’s also so exciting to see her start to own her power， and to see her fight back！ At the end of book 1， I wa Storm of Secrets and Sorrow is book 2 in the Legacy series。 It is set in the same universe （but different realm） as Melissa’s Lady of Darkness series。 You can read the Legacy series on its own， but I would highly recommend reading LoD first due to some of the character cross overs （which I loved）！I love how we start to learn a bit more about the background and heritage of the FMC Tessa。 It’s also so exciting to see her start to own her power， and to see her fight back！ At the end of book 1， I wasn’t sure if Theon could redeem himself。 With SOSAS， we begin to learn a bit about why he is the way he is。 He still has a way to go in my eyes 😂We get to see so much more of Axel and Luke in book 2， which I loved， as well as some crossover with LOD series。 This was great - I had missed those characters so much！ This book had amazing world building， complex and morally grey characters， spice and suspense。 I cannot wait for book 3！ 。。。more
